Clay Pumpkin Carving Workshop: All Skill Levels
October 5th, 2pm, 4:15pm, or 7pm. Each time slot will be 1 hr and 50 minutes.
Get in the Halloween spirit and carve your own forever pumpkin! Supplied with a pumpkin shaped clay blank and all the tools you’ll need, just add the flair, witchy pizzaz, and spooky bits to your Jack-o-lantern! Not as tasty as a real pumpkin, but this one will last for all the years to come.
This session will give you the tools to carve and paint a clay pumpkin. Hollow, leather-hard clay pumpkin blanks handmade at Mud Lake will be provided, along with carving tools, brushes and underglazes. Alexandra will give a short carving/painting demo and provide some example pumpkins for inspiration. Add a hat or stem, a face, or keep it simple with a pretty cut-out pattern, it’s up to you! They’re sure to look great with a candle inside!
Once your pumpkin is completed, Mud Lake will fire and clear glaze them. Pieces will be ready to pick up in 10 - 14 days. Have them all lit up at home by Halloween!
Ages 16 and up, 15 and under with adult supervision.
